Adult in breeding plumage, May 2013, Lavon Lake, Collin Co.
Overall a thin and long-winged sandpiper. Only seen in spring migration in North Texas due to circular migration route.
Lower mandible is orange-ish at the base and darkens toward the tip, upper mandible is dark.
Thin fine streaks on the neck and upper breast. Legs are dark.
