This is the 59th Dallas Christmas Bird Count.

This list is currently at 116 species for Count Day and 117 for Count Week. Ladder-backed Woodpecker was added to Count Week (12-16-12, image below). White-Rock Lake had six gull sp. reported: Ring-billed Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Franklin's Gull, Bonaparte's Gull, and Little Gull. Weather was abnormally mild and clear. Highs in 70's. White Ibis (54!) and Chestnut-sided Warbler (details) will be added as new species to the Dallas Count.

The California Gull previously listed as a full species is now considered unidentifiable.
