Red-necked Grebe - Cooke County, December 28, 1997 Photo by Brush Freeman Despite a handful of reports over the years, there have been very few well-documented sightings of Red-necked Grebe in north central Texas. This individual at Lake Ray Roberts, in Cooke County, on December 28, 1997 provided a first county record and only the third regional record to be accepted.
