Photos by Martin Reid Couch's Kingbird - Tarrant County, September 1, 2001 (Submitted to and accepted by the TBRC) Couch's Kingbird has not been reported from the study area prior to this sighting. Distinguishing this species from a Tropical Kingbird normally cannot be derived from photographs. Martin, however, clearly reported the vocalization (call) of a Couch's - generally a diagnostic feature. It is the first record for the area.
