At present, nesting is known to occur only in Wilbarger County within the study area. Northwest of Hardeman County, in the southeastern portion of the Texas panhandle, the bird is a fairly common nester. In all other counties within North-central Texas, the bird is largely migratory (generally winter) and highly transient.
