Black-capped Vireo

The Black-capped Vireo is disappearing through much of its historical range in North-central Texas. There are birds nesting currently in Bosque and Somervell counties and small, fragmented populations exist in Cooke and Grayson counties. It appears to have vanished from southwest Dallas County in the 1990's.
